To print a page:
Highlight a small portion of text (click and drag with the mouse) in the section
(think window pane) you want to print (this will make sure the correct section
prints). Then go ahead and print.
How to print:
1.
From the very top of the page, left hand corner, click on the File
drop-down menu, then choose Print. A
print dialog box will open where you can select how many copies, etc.
Or
2. You can just click on the small printer icon in the toolbar
on the top of the browser window. This will print just one page, and it will
skip the dialog box.
To bookmark a page:
Same as for printing: Highlight a small portion of text (click and drag with
the mouse) in the section (think window pane) you want to bookmark. After highlighting,
go ahead and bookmark.
How to bookmark:
For Internet Explorer:
To add a page to your list of favorites:
1. Go to the page that you want to add to your Favorites list.
2. Highlight a portion of text in the section you want to bookmark
3. On the Favorites drop-down menu (top of page),
click Add to Favorites.
4. In the box that opens, type a new name for the page, if you want to.
To
organize your pages into separate folders, after naming your page,
in the same box:
1. Click on the Create In button. Choose the folder
you want to put the page in.
OR
2. Click on the New Folder button to create a new
folder, then name the new folder also. This is the folder your page
will be stored in.
You can drag and drop pages and folders in your Favorites drop-down menu, to reposition and reorganize them (highlight name, then click and drag with the mouse).
To
open one of your favorite pages, on the Favorites
drop-down menu, click the folder and/or page you want to open.
How to bookmark:
For Netscape Navigator:
To
add a page to your list of bookmarks:
1.Go to the web page you want to bookmark
2. Highlight a portion of text in the section you want to bookmark
3.Click Bookmarks (upper left hand corner on lower
toolbar)[On Mac OS, open the Bookmarks menu--the green bookmark icon to the
right of the Go menu]
4. From the menu choose Add Bookmark
5. The name of the currently displayed page is added as the last item in the
Bookmark menu. (Some preselected bookmarks came with your Netscape software)
To organize your pages into separate folders, after naming your page:
1.
Click Bookmarks and choose Edit Bookmarks.
[On Mac OS, open the Communicator menu and choose
Bookmarks]. Then drag any bookmark,
folder, or separator to reposition it. You can also
drag and drop bookmarks into folders.
OR:
2a. To add a new folder click Bookmarks
and choose Edit Bookmarks. [On Mac OS, open the Communicator
menu and choose Bookmarks]
2b. Click the item just above where you want to put
a new folder.
2c. Open the File menu (top row, upper left corner)
and choose New Folder.
2d. Type a name for the folder and click OK.
To
open one of your bookmarked pages, on the Bookmarks
drop-down menu, click the folder and/or page you want to open [Same for Mac
OS].
To Find Your Way Around the Site:
Besides using the links to the left, you may also
use the forwards and backwards arrows at the top left
of the browser window. The arrows are green; the left
pointing arrow takes you to the previous page you visited. The
right pointing arrow takes you back to the page you
visited after that.
Refresh:
There are three ways to refresh a page in this site:
1. The easiest way to refresh is to just re-click
on the link for the page you are on.
2. If you hit the refresh button (the little button
on the toolbar with two curved green arrows) in this
case [a site with Frames] it will take you back to the MAIN
English or the MAIN Spanish page; you then can re-click
the link to the page you want to refresh.
3. You might prefer to click the back button (green
left pointing arrow) instead, and then click the link again
to reload the page. (Hitting the forward button will
not reload the page.)
